Dayton Children's Hospital

brand new brand

At Dayton Children’s, we are compassionate caregivers who are transforming care for children.

To highlight our innovation, renew our commitment to the community and reaffirm our mission of providing the best care for kids, we launched a new brand identity that represents these things.

The inspiration for the new identity comes from Dayton’s history of innovation. The Wright Brothers were inspired when their father brought home a toy whirligig. Their awe ignited a passion that would change the world. Dayton Children’s passion to care for kids is just as strong.

Dayton Children's Hospital

providing the right services

Dayton Children’s continues to provide the right care, close to home, by offering new services and bringing on some of the finest physicians in the world.

In the past year, we have added allergy and immunology, neuropsychology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), among other new services. In fact, more than 60 physicians were hired in the past two years from the most impressive hospitals from coast-to-coast. Adding subspecialists also improves patient access to see a physician. Today, patient access is 6.7 days on average in our eight high-volume clinics.

Dayton Children's Hospital

expanding the south campus

Families in the southern suburbs now have more convenient access to a broader range of world-class pediatric care for their children all in one location.

Dayton Children’s broke ground on the ambulatory destination center in August 2015 and the first phase – a specialty care center – opened this year.

The expansion is based on the growing need for services in our southern communities; this area has the highest percentage of children under age 5 and the region continues to grow.

In addition to the specialty care center, an emergency department opened January 3, 2017, and an outpatient surgery center will open in August 2017.

Dayton Children's Hospital

patient tower, opening June 2017

In 2013, Dayton Children’s broke ground on a new eight-story patient tower and progress continues!

The final beam of the new tower settled into place with a traditional “topping off” ceremony, marking another major milestone in the project which will culminate with the grand opening of the tower in June 2017.

Inside, the transformed campus will welcome families through a three-story atrium filled with light, color and whimsy. Paying tribute to Dayton’s history of innovation including the birthplace of flight, the tower design and icons for each floor were selected from things that fly, both man-made and those found in nature.

For nearly 50 years, our focus remains steadfast – we exist because every child deserves a great children’s hospital close to home with specialists who provide exceptional care and unwavering compassion. No one is more committed to the health and well-being of the children in our community than Dayton Children’s.
